Winds and Piano: Chamber Music at the Paris Opera

Musicians of the Paris Opera Orchestra offer a midday performance of chamber music in the opulent surroundings of Palais Garnier.

Mozart himself was particularly proud of his Quintet for Piano and Winds, which begins this concert. Nielsen's Wind Quintet is one of the composer's final works, and it was performed at Nielsen's own funeral.
