Verdi's dramatic opera La Traviata will be performed by Opera Zuid and the Philharmonie Zuidnederland at the Concertgebouw Amsterdam.

Verdi's is the perhaps the most famous musical adaptation of Dumas' 'La dame aux Camélias', and tells the story of Violetta, a Paris courtesan who reluctantly accepts love, and then is forced to give it up.
