海顿《弥撒曲》创作于1741年。 1742年首演于都柏林。 此部作品非常好听，其中著名的《哈拉路亚》更是各大乐团经常演奏的作品。

The choir and orchestra were very good as were the soloists. As inspiring and beautiful the Basílica de Santa Maria del Mar is, it is however not ideal for a concert such as El Messies, as the voices and music are not big enough for the size of the cathedral.
