The Estonian National Opera Chorus presents its audience the greatest musical achievement of the Russian Orthodox Church — Rachmaninoff's "Vesper" (op. 37).
The cycle of evening prayers comprising of fifteen sections was composed in 1915 by the last Russian romanticist composer Sergei Rachmaninov. The choral composition consists of settings of texts taken from the Russian Orthodox All‐night vigil ceremony and is intrinsically romantic and soulful.
