Music and the Brain: Scherder & Kuusisto

Eric Scherder, Professor of Clinical Neuropsychology, has a special interest in music and especially what music does to our brain. His lecture at the Concertgebouw will be joined by violinist Pekka Kuusisto — a hands‐on expert who has chosen suitable works for each topic.

Scherder and Kuusisto will illustrate what happens to the brain when interpreting compositions and also how music can be created interactively.
