Countertenor Max Emanuel Cencic will perform a full Baroque programme at the Peralada Festival 2015.

With a desire to break all countertenor stereotypes during his performances, Croatian Max Emanuel Cencic is coming to the Castell de Peralada Festival firmly established as one of the greats of his genre. With his look, which is more like a pop‐star, this singer is famous throughout the world for the power, richness, agility and range of his voice.

Cencic, a lover of Baroque and classical music, not only limits himself to singing the roles written for the counter‐tenor voice. Labelled by many purists as a daring singer who breaks all taboos, Cencic says he is proud to have dared to sing Rossini and been successful. He is performing at the Festival this summer, ready to seduce lovers of Baroque music and countertenors and prove his maxim: “breaking down barriers is my obsession, it's my overriding principal.”
