Symphony No. 41 is the culmination of Mozart's symphonic production. The classical clarity of the key of C‐Major and the grandiose overall tone of the work earned it the title "Jupiter" — Mozart did not name it himself.

"Titan", however, was the title Mahler used for his First Symphony, a sign of the programmatic underpinnings of its four movements.
