Embark on an heroic journey with the Netherlands Philharmonic Orchestra and Marc Albrecht. Strauss' semi‐autobiographical tone poem is modeled on Beethoven's Eroica, and contains more than 30 quotations from Strauss' previous works.

First prize‐winner at the 2011 Tchaikovsky Competition, Armenian cellist Narek Hakhnazaryan has rapidly become a fixture on the world's concert stages. Dvořák's Cello Concerto is often called 'the King' of cello concertos, and offers a fitting display piece for the young star.
