After thorough refurbishment and restoration in 2010 the Albertinum now presents itself in a new way. Not only the collections but also the spectacular architecture contributes to its inviting appeal for visitors. The restoration workshops and the new storerooms hover like an ark above the atrium, the so called Lichthof that is suitable for concerts. This new structure created more space for the exhibition rooms of the Galerie Neue Meister and the Skulpturensammlung. For the first time the collections of both museums can be visited in one place.
