Christoph Eschenbach conducts the Düsseldorfer Symphoniker and pianist Tzimon Barto in a performance of Schumann and Brahms at the Schumannfest in Düsseldorf.

On Schumann's bicentenary, Düsseldorf turns into a veritable Schumann‐city. The entire work of the ingenious Romantic composer can be heard in the course of the year.

Frank Peter Zimmermann debuts with Schumann's violin sonatas; Christoph Eschenbach conducts the Schumann Orchestra, the Düsseldorf Symphonics; Daniel Barenboim and the Staatskapelle Berlin are invited. Thomas Hampson, Janine Jansen, Paavo Järvi, Mario Venzago, Thomas Zehetmair — enjoy international stars of the music world paying homage to an extraordinary composer!
