Salute the talents of Marc Chagall with the musicians of the London Symphony and their leader, Valery Gergiev — another Russian artist whose forays into the West have been the source of some of his greatest successes.

Chagall's designs for Stravinsky's 'Firebird' were essential to the success of the Balanchine production which revived the work in America. Gergiev brings his wealth of experience from the Mariinsky to the ballet's score, and to Bartok's 'Miraculous Mandarin' and Suite of Dances.
