Founded in its current iteration in 1854, the Baden‐Baden Philharmonic is one of Germany's oldest and most respected orchestras, with a history that can be traced back to the mid‐1400s. A familiar presence on the world's most prestigious stages and at events of international importance, the orchestra gave the world premieres of numerous, now canonical, works by composers such as Richard Strauss and Johannes Brahms; its roster of guest conductors and soloists reads as a veritable Who's Who of classical music's greatest names.
