Ingo Metzmacher

Ingo Metzmacher (born 10 November 1957 in Hanover) is a German conductor. From 1997 to 2005 he served as director of the Hamburg State Opera. In 2007 he is scheduled to assume the post of Principal Conductor of the Deutsches Symphonie-Orchester Berlin.
