The Sächsische Staatskapelle and violin soloist Frank Peter Zimmermann will perform music by Bruckner and Mendelssohn‐Bartholdy under the baton of Christian Thielemann.
Bruckner’s music is performed regularly in Germany. This is not the case, however, for the great Austrian composer’s Second Symphony, a splendid work with an angelic Adagio. In the first part of the program, Frank Peter Zimmermann will interpret Mendelssohn’s famous Violin Concerto.
