Olivier Py’s staging of The Rake's Progress at the Paris Opera incorporates the codes of musical comedy and presents Stravinsky's opera as the theatre of a lucid and sardonic world.

Haunted by Mozartian opera, Stravinsky saddles his libertine with a devil who orchestrates this fable of desire and failure.
