At this year's Spitalfields Summer Festival, Bach's grand and overwhelming masterpiece the St John Passion will be performed by the exceptional young performers of the Royal Academy of Music.

Edward Higginbottom conducts the Baroque orchestra and chorus, with Peter Davoren as the Evangelist and David Shipley singing the role of Christ. Bach's gripping choral work presents the story of the last days in the life of Christ.
