Philippe Jordan & Khatia Buniatishvili: Konzerthaus Wien

Sobre o Evento

Two young stars on one concert platform.

Philippe Jordan is still relatively youthful for a conductor, and started his professional work aged only 20. He was appointed Chief Conductor of the Vienna Symphonic Orchestra in 2011. In this concert, he leads the orchestra in Schubert's 2nd Symphony, and Beethoven's 7th: whose famous slow movement was used to great effect in the film The King's Speech.

Before the interval, Jordan is joined by the young Georgian pianist Khatia Buniatishvili for Shostakovich's Concerto for Piano, Trumpet and Strings.
