Paquita: Bavarian State Ballet

Sobre o Evento

Experience a new reconstruction of one of the most popular 19th‐century ballets.

Paquita is regularly performed by the best ballet companies across the world, but over time it has moved further and further away from how it looked orginally. The Bavarian State Ballet offer a glimpse into past: combining scholarly research with world‐class performance.

Choreographer Alexei Ratmansky will create a version that seeks to remain authentic to the intentions of the original creator – Marius Petipa – while also understanding today's modern expectations.

Artistic and scientific advisors, as well as archived notations have all been consulted for this latest reconstruction project for the Bavarian State Ballet – part of the company's tradition of critically examining and probing the great works of the past.
