Leipzig Quartet in Berlin

Sobre o Evento

The acclaimed Leipzig String Quartet and friends perform in the chamber music hall of Berlin's Philharmonie.

The quartet open their recital with Beethoven's "Harp" quartet (op. 74). They are joined by double bass player Alois Posch for Dvořák's seldom‐heard string quintet.

The programme finishes with Schubert's famous "Trout" quintet. Christian Zacharias takes the piano part one of the composer's most popular works. The spritely fourth movement is a set of increasingly intricate variations on one of Schubert's own songs: "The Trout".
