Chopin wrote his Piano Concerto No. 2 in F minor when he was only 20 years old, but this early work is still one of the most difficult of the repertoire. A true pianistic challenge that the young Canadian virtuoso Jan Lisiecki will take on with all his talent and enthusiasm. Shostakovich's grandiose Symphony No. 8 will also be on the program of this evening.
