Founded and conducted Giovanni Antonioni, the Italian ensemble Il Giardino Armonico ranks as one of the most important ensembles of its kind currently active and is renowned for its interpretation of works from the classical canon. Performing in the stunning grounds of the Grafenegg chateau in Lower Austria, Il Giardino Armonico pays homage to the work and life of Mozart with a programme that explores not only the master’s own work but also that of one of his close contemporaries: Christoph Willibald Gluck, another composer fascinated by the notorious figure of Don Juan.
