Haydn, Saramgo. Accademia Filarmonica Romana

Sobre o Evento

Wonderful music by Haydn, performed by the Sinopoli Quartet, and Nobel Saramago's words will be featured in Rome!

Haydn wrote this music for the dying body of Christ. The introduction, the succession of the Adagios, the final earthquake, the shock and the hope of redemption: this music, born for the Holy Week, reflects its mystery. It will be accompanied by the words of Jose Saramago. The Portuguese writer was an atheist. In his Gospel, Christ is a man who suffers and dies, without understanding why his Father has chosen such a cruel fate for him.

Music and words will tell you a story, that moves and affects everyone.
