Danube Symphony Orchestra: Symphonic Discoveries

Sobre o Evento

Founded in 1961 and conducted by András Deák since 1991, the Danube Symphony Orchestra will perform two popular works from the defining figure of the Russian romantic period – and a composer who heavily influenced the 20th century music of Debussy and Stravinsky.

The Mussorgsky double bill will be split by a world première of a work by Levente Gyöngyösi, a young and prolific contemporary Hungarian composer. His Piano Concerto will be performed by József Balog, 2001 winner of the Bartók‐Liszt International Piano Competition.
