Chopin, Mendelssohn at the Salle Gaveau
Sobre o Evento
Experience works for by Chopin and Mendelssohn in the beautiful Salle Gaveau in Paris.
Is it known that Frédéric Chopin gave the first public audition of his Concerto in F minor on February 7, 1830… in his parents' living room with a very small string ensemble? Far from the plethoric numbers which prevail nowadays, Chopin's original orchestral accompaniment favoured chamber textures which made possible a fruitful dialogue with the pianoforte. With an impressive virtuosity and above all a musical finesse to be praised without reserve, David Lively and the Cambini Quartet restore an incredible sound world.
