Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Opening Night: Daniele Gatti's Inauguration

New Chief Conductor, Daniele Gatti opens the new season and his tenure with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra with an elegant, black‐tie evening of music, food, and celebration.

The evening opens with Beethoven's "Egmont" Overture in which members of the Youth Orchestra of the Netherlands will join the RCO. Baritone Christian Gerhaher will be the soloist for Mahler's "Lieder eines fahrenden Gesellen". Works by Verdi, Schubert, and Respighi are also on the program, which also has a few surprises in store for the audience.

Dress code: Black tie

The evening begins with a walking dinner at 6 p.m. which is included in the ticket price.
