Requiem on the Anniverary of Mozart's Death: Concert in Vienna

Konstantin Hiller conducts Mozart's Requiem in Vienna's St. Charles Church (Karlskirche).

Mozart's final opus will be performed under one of the most beautiful Baroque domes north of the Alps. This masterpiece of classical music is characterized by emotional phases of upheaval, fear, hope, and salvation. All of these emotions besieged Mozart as he composed the Requiem, during the last weeks of his life.

The Choir and Soloists of the Salzburg Concert Society perform with Orchestra 1756. All together there are more than 40 musicians on stage. The Orchestra 1756 performs on historical instruments, typical of Mozart's era.
