Philharmonia‐Ashkenazy‐Bashkirova: Auditorio Nacional de Música
Over het evenement
Vladimir Ashkenazy and the Philharmonia Orchestra offer us a musical journey that begins with Mendelssohn's calm sea. Subsequently, Elena Bashkirova joins them to perform one of Mozart's most famous pages, his Piano Concerto No. 21 K 467. An energetic and brilliant score with a lyrical and sweet adage in its central part.
In the second part the Philharmonia will take us to her homeland performing Elgar's Enigma Variations, a tribute to friendship (each of the 14 variations represents the character of a friend of the composer) that despite being one of the most interpreted from English since its composition in 1899 maintains the curiosity of an unsolved enigma.
