Missa Solemnis: Beethoven at Notre‐Dame de Paris
Over het evenement
Listen to one of the greatest masterworks in the realm of music at the beautiful Cathedral Notre‐Dame in Paris.
John Nelson conducts Beethoven's only Mass, the Missa Solemnis, a work made of sufferance. Beethoven composed this beautiful piece at a time when he was completely deaf and had just lost his brother. Even though the composer confessed his desire to commit suicide, his energy will eventually overcome his desperation.
