Liza Ferschtman plays Mendelssohn's Violin Concerto
Over het evenement
Relish the return of the acclaimed Dutch violinist Liza Ferschtman to the stage of the Concertgebouw. Joining the Hague Philharmonic, with their principal conductor, Jan Willem de Vriend, Ferschtman plays Mendelssohn' enduringly‐popular Violin Concerto.
Mendelssohn's last large‐scale work, the Violin Concerto is highly innovative, and places great demands on both soloist and orchestra. Schubert's Eighth 'Unfinished' Symphony shares this innovative spirit, and is often referred to as the first Romantic symphony.
