Konzerthausorchester Berlin, Minasi, Schultz: Haydn, Beethoven, Mozart
Over het evenement
The South African soprano Golda Schultz performs two concert arias by Mozart together with the Konzerthausorchester led by Riccardo Minasi, as well as another aria by Beethoven, in which the singer is pushed through very different registers of emotions by a unfaithful lover.
Mozart wrote numerous concert arias that emphasized the specific qualities of celebrated vocal virtuosos of their time and explored the extremes of human emotions, from anger and horror to enthusiasm and love triumph.
The rest of the programme is also dedicated to Viennese Classicism: alongside Haydn's Symphony No. 88 from 1787, Mozart's last Symphony No. 41, known as the 'Jupiter' Symphony, will be performed.
