Sincerity and purity are the defining traits of Leonora, who will be played by Anna Netrebko. Yusif Eyvazov, Ludovic Tézier and Okka von der Damerau complete the royal‐flush cast who will bring us this tale of love and vengeance, set in 15th century Aragon, in which the characters fall victim to a gypsy's hallucinations. In this tragedy, premiered in Rome in 1853 and first seen at the Liceu in 1854, Verdi shows us that the past is a burden from which it is impossible to escape.
