François‐Xavier Roth, Chief Conductor of the SWR Sinfonieorchester and the Oper Köln, debuts with the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra.

The program features Haydn's Symphony No. 22, a question‐and‐answer game nicknamed 'The Philosopher'. Haydn will be followed by Beethoven's monumental Piano Concerto No. 4 with internationally acclaimed pianist Emanuel Ax. The program concludes with Mendelssohn's 'Italian' symphony – a journey through the sunny and artistically rich Italy.
