Siblings Pierre‐Laurent and Valérie Aimard perform music of Beethoven and Mendelssohn.
While his father, a Berlin banker, badmouthed "Beethoven and all fantasists", the young Felix Mendelssohn idolized the genius from Bonn. Together with his cello‐playing brother, Paul, Felix played a number of Beethoven's pieces. Later, he dedicated his own cello pieces to his brother's instrument. Beethoven's cello pieces are also a family affair for Pierre‐Laurent Aimard and his sister Valérie: intimate, delicate, humane, laconic.
Enjoy the warmth of great music in a cozy atmosphere.
