The Portuguese fado singer Mariza returns to the Konzerthaus Berlin.
She got to know the 'Portuguese Blues' as a child, as fado stars performed regularly in her parents' restaurant in Lisbon. In the meantime she has become a great interpreter of this style of music herself and has received many awards for her albums.
We leave behind the belaboured frontiers between “serious” and “light” music to present pop stars, famous jazz artists, the big names of electronic music and world music talents. All convincing musicians who cross cultural borders – the classics of the 21st century.
