Discover Oslo's roots in the place where the modern city had its start. Akershus Fortress and Castle has seen Oslo develop and change from the medieval period until the present day, and has become an enduring symbol of Oslo. This two‐hour walking tour offers the chance to explore Oslo's historic center, and to visit the Fortress and the Old Royal Castle, with its spectacular views of the Oslofjord.
This two‐hour walking tour begins at the City Hall and is available in English, German, Icelandic, Italian, Russian, and Spanish. Please note there is an additional admissions charge of NOK100 to enter Akershus Castle, which is closed to the public until December 2018 due to renovations.
