This summer swings with the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw. In this concert, the orchestra pays tribute to the legendary Miles Davis, together with guests such as Teus Nobel, Bo Floor (Jungle by Night) and Yuri Honing.

A swinging concert by the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw is a fixture of the Robeco SummerNights. In previous years, artists such as Madeline Bell, Stefano Bollani, Berget Lewis and Christian Scott were invited. This summer, the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw will pay tribute to the legendary Miles Davis, with representatives of a new generation of trumpeters influenced by Miles Davis, including Teus Nobel and Bo Floor alongside other jazz men such as saxophonist Yuri Honing.

The legendary trumpeter Miles Davis played the Concertgebouw twice in 1960. These concerts have aqcuired almost mythical status as prime examples of jazz as it was meant to be: swinging and sweltering. A sultry summer evening is therefore the perfect time for the Jazz Orchestra of the Concertgebouw to pay tribute to Miles Davis.
