Jordi Savall (Viola da gamba) plays his favourite pieces by Hume.

Jordi Savall sets out to explore Great Britain, leaving behind his familiar Mediterranean culture to discover the Celtic roots of English and Irish music. As part of the search for the origins of European culture, this musical expedition is principally concerned with questions such as “Where does the unique magic come from that English music possesses even today? What constitutes popular music and what characterises art music?”

Savall invites listeners to join him on his journey through this Celtic Renaissance on the strings of his viola de gamba.
