Symphony Concert Bel Canto

イベント情報

The Lithuanian State Symphony Orchestra (LSSO) presents an evening of beautiful melodies together with Lilija Gubaidulina at the Symphony Concert "Bel Canto”.

The talented singer lived in Lithuania for several years as though getting ready for a bright start. In 2010 she surprised the jury at the television project “The Arch of Triumph”. The singer, who was unknown until then, charmed the jury and the audience with her artistry, and her love of music. Her clear voice is the perfect example of the classical Italian bel canto. The soloist grew up in Tajikistan and studied in Arkhangelsk and Tatarstan; she worked for the Kazan Opera House, one of the best in Russia. There she was a bright young soloist, but love and family brought her to Lithuania. Currently she gives concerts in the country enjoying full houses; soon she may surprise opera buffs in opera productions.

Dvořák’s Symphony No 7 that will be performed in the second part of the concert. The composer wrote about it that this Czech music will be able surprise the world. True, since its premiere in London, it has been one of the world’s masterpieces of symphonic music besides his symphonies No 8 and No 9.

Young‐min Park, the chief conductor of Vendžu, South Korea, Philharmonic Orchestra, will conduct the concert. A frequent guest in Europe (at the Rudolfinum/Dvořák concert hall in Prague, Musikverein in Vienna, Coliseum in Lisbon, etc), he is a well known interpreter of symphonic music by Dvořák, Brahms, Beethoven, and Mahler. This concert season will take him to Japan, the Czech Republic, Austria, Germany, Poland, Spain and Lithuania.
