The Orchestra Koninklijk Concertgebouworkest (Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam) and Emily Magee perform selected works by Webern, Strauss, and Schumann at the Centre for Fine Arts in Brussels.

A visit from the Royal Concertgebouw Orchestra Amsterdam, recognised by international critics as one of the world's finest orchestras, is always an event in our musical season. Conducted on this occasion by the young English conductor Daniel Harding, it has chosen the US soprano Emily Magee to perform one of Richard Strauss's most poignant works, a veritable swansong in which he celebrated the soprano voice as few others have been able to do. The programme also includes Schumann's splendid Second Symphony.
