Being born in a small town in the province of Ragusa and a few years later, becoming one of jazz talents on the international scene … who would have ever imagined?

It all started when, at the tender age of thirteen, Francesco 'Ciccio' Cafiso was noticed by Wynton Marsalis, at the Festival of Pescara before heading out on tour with him. Since then a brilliant career: from the prestigious awards (International Jazz Festivals Organization Award, World Saxophone Competition in London, Django d'Or in Rome) to the countless artists he has had the privilege to play with.
The Sicilian wonderboy performs in a quartet, showing a executive and improvisational maturity, a kind of sound strong and gentle at the same time.
