Daniel Wayenberg & Friends: Concertgebouw
イベント情報
Celebrate the 85th birthday of pianist Daniel Wayenberg with duets, songs and solos.
At 85, Daniel Wayenberg shows no signs of slowing down: a tour of France, and a new CD of Liszt Études are just two recent milestones for the veteran pianist. But it's in Amsterdam where the celebration takes place: Wayenberg is joined by the mezzo Yana Boukoff, for the famous "Song to the Moon" from Dvořák's Rusalka. His friend, bass‐baritone Pieter Vis will also be performing.
As well as solo works, including Balakirev's Islamey – regarded as among the most difficult piano compositions – Wayenberg and the 18 year oldpianist Martin Oei will play duets, as they did for a rapturously‐reviewed concert tour in 2013.
