ミラノ交響楽団は、20世紀の巨匠ルチアーノ・ベリオの深い創造性を称える。ベリオは2000年から2003年までラ・ヴェルディの名誉指揮者を務めた。ミラノ交響楽団は、音楽と建築が見事に融合したピアノとオーケストラのためのリサイタル『コンパス』（1994年）の初演を披露する。ベリオ生誕100周年を祝うにふさわしいこの公演では、卓越した音楽家たちによる「フィレンツェ」アンサンブルが結集。ピアノにアンドレア・ルッケジーニ、指揮にディエゴ・チェレッタを迎え、オーケストラと共にラヴェルの『高貴で感傷的なワルツ』とレスピーギの『ローマの噴水』をシームレスに織り交ぜたプログラムを披露する。

Known colloquially as 'La Verdi', Milan's famed symphony orchestra was formed in the early 90s to supplement the city's already‐generous cultural offering. Making its home in Milan's Auditorio, La Verdi features among Europe's most respected and admired symphonic ensembles. Its first Musical Director, Ricardo Chailly, now holds the title of Conductor Laureate, while the Austrian conductor, Emmanuel Tjeknavorian, a fast‐rising star in the orchestral firmament took over the role of Musical Director in 2024, following in the footsteps of several major names in the classical world. La Verdi welcomes a starry roster of soloists and guest conductors over the course of an extensive and varied annual season, and regularly features as guests of honour at important state occasions and international concert engagements.
