  First, the venue was amazing. The high quality acoustics and historic setting only added to the experience. The performance was magical. All of the performers were talented and their enthusiasm was evident. The lead violinist was exceptional. He made us understand Vivaldi's Four Seasons in a way that a recording could never accomplish.

  I loved it. The programme was excellent, the sound quality was great — i was seated central to the stage in the second row — worth the additional cost. The whole experience was the perfect ending to a brilliant week. Highly recommended.

  It was a terrible performance. Precisely because they were all famous pieces, the mistakes stood out even more. If you’re thinking of attending this concert, I recommend spending your time on something more worthwhile.

  We were very disappointed with our Saturday evening concert. It was perhaps the worst professional performance we have attended especially for the hundreds of Euros cost of the tickets for my family. The ensemble played as though they had never rehearsed together and the performance was unmusical and uninspired (despite a program which contained fabulous music from the greatest composers). Entrances were ragged, weak, ill timed and not together. Endings of phrases were rushed with the resolution cut short and inadequate sustain. Appropriate pauses and rests between phrases were ignored as though the group were in a hurry to leave. The first violin, despite being the soloist, appeared to make no effort to cue or otherwise lead the group and didn't have a mastery of the music as one would expect. I've never been to a professional performance where I so frequently grimaced or recoiled at the sound of missed notes, botched entrances and out of tune notes. This was an absolutely dreadful concert.

  Have not been since 2018. Great soloist. Great orchestra. Acoustic come with the building. Absolutely lovely. Very much says Christmas Eve. Nice to be back in Florence.

  The auditorium was lovely but I would have liked to see the original paintings behind the screen. The musicians were talented and delightful! However I had no idea who they were. Maybe an intro of even the first violinist as a start. Lovely evening!
