Liza Minnelli is considered one of the last remaining 'Grandes Dames' of Hollywood. Her role of Sally Bowles in 'Cabaret' as well as the world‐famous interpretations of other musical songs and numerous film roles in films have influenced an entire generation. Happiness and bad luck always alternated in Minnelli's life — the search for love, happiness and success gave her a turbulent roller coaster ride through life. Asita Djavadi has taken on this eventful life of the American and combined her relationship with the probably most famous songwriter in Broadway history, Fred Ebb, as well as with the chansonnier Charles Aznavour, into a semi‐staged concert evening. She sings Minellis most beautiful pieces, she dances, she tap‐dances and leads through a program that also illuminates her life away from camera and showbiz. The Lüneburger Symphoniker under the direction of Thomas Dorsch accompany the artist and create the atmosphere for an evening full of emotion, fun and brilliant entertainment!
