World Premieres at the Concertgebouw: Shepherd and Jeths

Seize the chance to be present for not one, but two world premieres. Willem Jeths is one of the Netherlands' most successful composers, while Sean Shepherd is widely regarded as one of the most exciting American composers of the new generation.

Principal Guest Conductor of the Netherlands Radio Philharmonic, James Gaffigan, gathers his forces, including the celebrated Radio Choir, for Jeths' Requiem, commissioned especially for the NTR Matinee. Acclaimed violinist Leila Josefowicz joins the orchestra for Shepherd's Violin Concerto — a joint commission with the John F. Kennedy Center.
