Seong‐Jin Cho, il noto pianista sudcoreano, non è nuovo a questa sede. Dopo la sua vittoria al prestigioso Concorso Chopin di Varsavia, ha fatto un'apparizione all'ultimo minuto qui, sostituendo un collega malato. Non solo ha impressionato con il suo eccezionale talento, ma ha anche portato con sé numerosi fan dalla Corea. Cho possiede un timbro unico e inconfondibile: un delicato splendore con un nucleo robusto, che lo rende l'interprete perfetto per i concerti di Beethoven. Durante questa esibizione, Cho ci regalerà due di questi capolavori: il quarto concerto, emotivamente lirico, e l'esuberante quinto concerto, noto anche come "Concerto dell'Imperatore". È interessante notare che il quarto concerto presenta l'antico personaggio mitico di Orfeo come parte integrante della narrazione.
