Artistic director and founder of the Russian National Orchestra Mikhail Pletnev leads a Russian‐Polish program at the Philharmonie de Paris. Gautier Capuçon is the evening's soloist, performing Shostakovich's First Cello Concerto.

The concert opens with a lesser ‐known composer, Mieczyslaw Karlowicz and his 'A Sad History'. The program closes with a glimpse of fate in Tchaikovsky's Symphony No. 4.
