Stine Rem Aarønes and Friends: Chamber Music Concert

Violinist Stine Rem Aarønes is joined by other talented musicians in works by Beethoven, Shostakovich, and Mendelssohn.

The evening opens with Beethoven's Violin Sonata No. 7 in C minor, written at the peak of Beethoven's career. Dimitri Shostakovich wrote his Piano Trio No. 1 during his studies, when he was only 16 years old. Mendelssohn's String Octet, which ends the program of this evening, was also written when the composer was just 16.
