Nielsen's Maskarade: Glimmer of light in a dark place
Lo spettacolo
For a long time Danisch composer Carl Nielsen was overshadowed by his Scandinavian peers Grieg and Sibelius. Today, Nielsen's neoclassical sound is celebrated around the world.
This performance at the Concertgebouw features his beloved opera "Maskarade" — a celebration of lightness in a bleak, harsh society. Markus Stenz and a large Danish cast join the Radio Philharmonic Orchestra and Choir.
