Celebrate the legacy of the legendary cellist with the Metamorphosen Chamber Orchestra of Berlin, led by renowned cellist Wolfgang Emanuel Schmidt, and no fewer than four more of the master‐cellist’s acclaimed successors.
Playing music from the classical traditions of Boccherini, Couperin, and Haydn to Bruch and Hindemith, not to mention the premiere of a new work in Rostropovich’ memory by Søren Nils Eichberg, Julius Berger and Gary Hoffmann are joined by Schmidt, Young‐Chang Cho, and Frans Helmerson as they pay tribute to the late virtuoso.
